“Dedicated teachers go ‘above and beyond’ to give booster sessions to children before or after school”
-Maple Walk Parent
Children are thoroughly prepared academically and socially for their next school, so that they can move onto the next stage of their journey with confidence.
Through regular tracking and assessment, the Head Teacher and Deputy Head, together with your child’s class teacher, have a thorough knowledge of the pupils.
Parents are informed of the range of schools within both the maintained and independent sectors and are guided in their choices. The children are provided with clear personal targets within the classroom and the skills required to participate in entrance examinations.
After-school sessions are held to assist with the 11+ process and the children have regular past papers to practise. Pupils also undergo interview practice with a visiting professional. We also encourage Maple Walk alumni to visit to talk about their experience of senior school.
Excellent teaching from Reception to Year 6 leads to well-prepared children who will succeed and feel confident throughout the 11+ process.
The best way to see the school in action is to book onto an open morning. These events last approximately an hour – you will have an opportunity to meet the Head and have a tour of the school led by the Year Six pupils. We look forward to welcoming you to Maple Walk soon.
