Reception Offers are made in order of date of registration, sixteen months ahead of entry. Once parents accept an offer (agreeing to the terms of the parent contract and making payment of the security deposit), we invite children to two Stay and Play sessions before they join us, so they are settled and ready to begin their school journey in the Autumn.
The process is outlined below with a timeline for Reception 2026 entry. Contact the registrar on admissions@maplewalkschool.co.uk for information on how to apply for the remaining places in Reception 2025.
MAY 2025: RECEPTION 2026 OFFERS BEGIN
Receiving & Accepting Your Offer
We begin making offers sixteen months ahead of entry into Reception. Offers are sent out in order of date of registration (with siblings of current pupils given priority).
To secure the place, payment of your security deposit will be due within 10 days of your offer, along with signed agreement to terms of parent contract.
Note: A place cannot be reserved without payment of the security deposit and submission of the signed acceptance form (to agree to terms of parent contract).
FEBRUARY 2026: SPRING STAY & PLAY
Meet & Greet Stay & Play
All children whose places have been accepted are invited to school in February for a stay and play session. This is an opportunity to meet teachers and potential classmates.
Parents are asked to advise the school of any relevant updates in their child’s needs (medical or developmental) since time of registration.
Please refer to our Admissions Policy
MARCH 2026: RECEPTION 2026 FIRST TERM’S FEES
Autumn Term Fees Due
Fees for the Reception class Autumn term are due by the end of the previous Spring term.

JUNE 2026: SUMMER STAY & PLAY
Welcome Back Stay & Play
Children joining Reception in September and their parents are welcomed back to school.
Children meet their new teachers and play. Parents receive information to help prepare for entry to Reception in September.
Once again, parents are asked to advise school of any relevant updates in child’s needs (medical or developmental) to help prepare for the transition.

The best way to see the school in action is to book onto an open morning. These events last approximately an hour – you will have an opportunity to meet the Head and have a tour of the school led by the Year Six pupils. We look forward to welcoming you to Maple Walk soon.
