We see Science as an essential discipline for young children.

Science teaches an understanding of natural phenomena. Our teaching aims to stimulate a child’s curiosity in finding out why things happen in the way they do. It teaches methods of enquiry and investigation to stimulate creative thought. Children learn to ask scientific questions and begin to appreciate the way that science will affect their future on a personal, national and global level.
Every opportunity is taken to allow the children to experience the practical aspects of
Science. Through a differentiated approach, we seek to create an atmosphere in which
the pupils learn and enjoy Science and come to appreciate that it is a vital area of knowledge for them as future citizens.
