Travel

At Maple Walk we take sustainable travel seriously and operate a no-car policy at the school gates. This means we encourage pupils, staff and visitors to walk, take bikes/scooters and use public transport wherever possible.

There is no parking on site and car users should only use metered parking nearby.  This is in line with our commitment to be good neighbours and to our planning permission, which dictates that we are a no-car school.

For more information on parking meters, please visit our contact page or click here.

Maple Walk has a gold TFL stars. sustainable travel is important and we discourage car use.
We are proud to have gained our TFL Sustainable (GOLD) level accreditation and hope to improve on this year on year.  We also take part in WOW (walk to school week) and junior children take part in cycle training.

To make the commute easier, we operate a "walking bus" from the main entrance to Roundwood Park, off Harlesden Road.  This enables parents to drop off their children without paying for parking.  The children are accompanied to school by two staff members in a walking crocodile.  To find out more and for a consent form, speak to the staff in the Maple Walk admin office.
