Up-cycling in the playground

The grounds of Maple Walk now look a little brighter, thanks to some innovative recycling.

Over the course of the year, we have been upgrading the lighting in the hall to reduce glare on the whiteboard.  This resulted in a number of light fittings becoming redundant.

Mr Dimitrov enlisted the help of year 6 pupils Eadie Ray and Patrick to fill the inverted lamps with new flowers.

Thanks to ATS Euromaster Tyres in Park Royal, we also received some old tyres.  These have been filled with a selection of bedding plants and also wild strawberries.

Aside from the new containers looking very pretty, the Reception classes will extend their learning by taking care of the plants.
